This is a fake company... totally running on virtual office. All their phone lines are redirected to a personal cell phone number. Their FAX number is mapped to an email address. The cheat their clients, the over charged them...

'Don't go to sprint/verizon/or nextel. If you want get service with them, and if you have bad credit, they would charge you another fee. I would think t-mobile will let anyone have phone service because i knew someone who have bad credit, and they got service with t-mobile without any fees!'

"We are currently with Sprint, but they suck so bad, I'm ready to drop them, and just pay the stupid fee for cancelling early. Are there any other cell phone companies you can hook up your laptop to while on the road to access full internet? If so, who are they, and how much do they charge for internet capabilities? (Not from the phone, but from a laptop). Thanks."
Something Witty replies:
'its on their websites'

"I was wondering if cell companies charge so much and have so many fees and such long contracts because they have to to make a fair profit and stay in business, or are they making tons of money off the high demand of cell phones. If they do need to charge so much, is it because of poor business practices or why is it?If anyone has studied this or worked close enough with cell phone companies to give an educated answer, I'd sure like to know. Please provide sources and facts (not opinions please). Thanks.I guess I should say I understand that they will charge what the market will bear and as long as we keep paying, they'll keep charging high rates. My question is, at their current spot, does anyone know if they are making large profits because they are taking advantage of the market, or if the "invisible hand" of the market has driven their charges as low as they currently can go with today's technology and still stay in business?"
sosezshe replies:
'I'm quite certain that your idea of a decent profit & the cell phones companys' idea are vastly different. So long as the consumers are buying the services, the rates will continue to climb. It's all about supply and demand my friend.'
kaffegeek replies:
'actually the cell companies like other large utilities charge what the market will bear. and keeping in line with their competitors.cell phones and their capabilities are very very very cheap now compared to when the were first invented.we are lucky to have them'
masta blasta replies:
'It's the greed of corporate America to screw consumers as much as possible. But then again, a cell phone needs to have internet, texting ability, mp3 player, movies on demand, tv on demand, be a mini transformer, and other things people really don't need on a phone. So as long as people feed into the materialism of being first to have the latest in technology(i.e. the I-phone) which will be obsolete in 6 months anyway, phone companies will continue to rape consumers. Basic economics - supply and demand.'

"We have to sites near to our town in India(Andhra Pradesh). We are not using them. We want to invite cell phone companies who ever want to install towers in that area. But we don't know the procedure how to contact them. Please tell me whether we have to contact them or they will contact the people after selecting their own location. Please let me know how to give my land to them in rent basis to get income. Thanks in advance."
cowboydoc replies:
'You can ask but, in general if they're interested, they'll contact you.'
loslunas87031 replies:
'does not work that way, get a job'
hj_thorne replies:
'They will contact you. Most cell phone companies know what coverage they are currently getting from the towers they currently have. However, they are always doing "search rings" surveys of the surrounding areas where their current towers are located. If they get a lot of reports of dropped calls then they look to expand their coverage area. If you property falls within the area they need to expand coverage into then they will contact you. However, it's usually not that easy. Once they determin that they want to use your land for a tower, they will sign a lease with you. They then have 18 months to determin if that portion of land will suit their needs after they have completed environmental surveys, their radio frequency, permit approval etc. If they determin that it is suitable then they will commence construction on the site. However, some might simply hold on to the land and never build, if that happens, after a period of 18 months they will either start to pay you or they will terminate the lease. If they find they have a need in your area they will contact you.'

asks:
"The only notice that I have been able to find in any of their paper is that "some charges may apply." What ever happened to notice before a charge would apply? What about confirmation that charges would be accepted? I am offended by what the cell phone companies are allowed to do - I am almost afraid to do anything with the phone, for fear that I would be charged for it."
Cornelius replies:
'because they can.'

'I'm not really sure where you're coming from. I'm 23, had Verizon and then switched to AT&T. I think that the plans are pretty straight forward. I went online and decided what plan I needed before going in to the store. Later, I decided to downgrade my plan, as I didn't need as many minutes. It was all very easy over the phone. I can check my balance online whenever I want to. I can see every call I've made and for how long the call lasted. If I want to buy a ringtone or a game, I'm told through my phone how much it will cost. So...yeah. I always know what I'm being charged for.Perhaps you should get online access to your account. :/'
